The current municipal management of Londrina has invested in end-of-year decoration in public places with the aim of attracting local and regional tourists, focused on creating a circulation of people with the purpose of boosting the entire service provision segment resulting from this movement. However, no studies have yet been carried out seeking to measure the economic result of such a measure. This work sought to identify this impact in order to allow future comparisons with other possibilities for using the treasury, as well as informing the community about the results achieved. Based on a survey of the influx and daily expenses incurred by tourists when visiting the most representative of decorated places, in the period from 11/30/23 to 01/06/24, and using the concept of spending multiplier effect, this analysis concluded that such financial movement is capable of generating an economic impact 10 times greater in relation to the initial investment.
